Concerning exhibitions that will be kept open, we can name photo exhibition “Africa’s reflects” that gathers six Algerian photographers and other 24 African artists. This manifestation is being held at Algiers Modern and Contemporary Museum (MAMA) till the 3rd of September. The exhibition includes more than one hundred photos in black and white and in colours, from different styles and genres, of which the themes are focused on Africa, its history and its heritage.

The same thing with « African design » exhibition, where many artists suggested “rereading” of life and fashion at Algiers SAFEX and the exhibition of “African art in feminine mode” that included 23 artists from 11 African countries at MAMA, in company of the exhibition including works of the great painter and artist « Mesli l’Africain » (Mesli the African).

Another exhibition on the oral and intangible cultural heritage, classified as humanity masterpiece by the Unesco, will be kept open at Algiers SAFEX until the 7th of August. Realised according to a modern scenoraphy, allying in harmony between sounds, body movements and lights, this exhibition highlights the 18 African masterpieces classified by the Unesco since 2003. The same thing for the “SAHARA” exhibition that will be continuing at Algiers SAFEX under the theme: “Sahara: art and memory”, and this until the 7th of August.

October and November have their share of cultural manifestations for those who are interested in conferences and symposiums. In fat, many manifestations are scheduled in these two months within the framework of the second edition of the Panafrican cultural festival 2009, especially symposiums on: “the origin of humankind” that will take place in October, then other three symposiums that will be on the following themes: “African artistic terminology” at the Algerian National Library, “TIDJANIA zaouia” at Timassin, Oued Souf city, and “earth architecture” that will take place of at Civil Engineering Institute in Al-Harrach.
